April Weismann
April McBriarty-Weismann leads marketing and communications at HPM Insurance, where she also serves on the senior leadership team. A proud graduate of the University of New Hampshire, she earned her bachelor’s degree in English Journalism with Cum Laude honors before pivoting into the insurance industry. Her career began on the carrier side, adjusting auto property damage claims for a regional insurer. She later transitioned to the agency side, joining a large Massachusetts firm where she became the go-to advisor for high-net-worth clients. Rising through the ranks to branch manager, April worked closely with insurance company executives who held ownership stakes in the agency—an experience that deepened her strategic insight into the business. In 2000, she joined the leadership team of her father’s New Hampshire-based agency, which was acquired by HPM Insurance in 2010. Since then, April has earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and served on the board of directors for the New Hampshire Association of Insurance Agents (NHAIA), including a term as chairperson from 2018 to 2019. April is passionate about demystifying insurance and making it more accessible and understandable to the public. Her blend of industry expertise and communication savvy continues to shape how HPM Insurance connects with clients and the broader community.
